Step into a gentle, welcoming space designed for mothers and their little ones to breathe, release, and paint from the heart. This workshop invites you to set aside perfectionism and expectation, and to explore an intuitive, expressive approach to abstract painting that honours the messy, beautiful reality of motherhood.
What to expect
Painting from the heart helps dissolve perfectionism and the pressure to “do it right.” You’ll be trusting your intuition.
A relaxed, nonjudgmental creative art session with your baby/babies playing, napping, feeding, or cuddled close.
No prior art experience required.
Calming, simple warm-ups to reconnect with your body and breath before you paint.
Guided exercises that help you access emotions and intention through colour, mark-making, and movement rather than rules or just technique.
Prompts to release what no longer serves you and to plant creative intentions for 2026 bringing clarity to what you want to welcome this year.
Time for reflection and optional sharing, supported by a compassionate facilitator and other mothers who understand the highs and lows of parenting.
This is creativity that fits your life, not away from it.
Creative practice boosts calm, builds connection (to yourself and to other mothers), and creates space to hold both grief and hope as you set intentions for the year ahead
What you’ll leave with
One or more original abstract pieces made intuitively by you.
A clear, gentle intention for 2026 and practical tools to revisit it through creative prompts.
A quieted inner critic and renewed access to your creative voice.
A sense of community and self-care that you can return to, painting beyond the session.
Baby Friendly Paint
As babies will be in this art session all the paint sed is non toxic and washable
we will be painting on canvas board-
This means you can invite your baby to add their mark on your abstract painting too
a special keepsake of this special time
Practical details
All materials provided — paints, paper/canvas, brushes, aprons.
Just bring yourself and your baby.
Babies of all ages are welcome; the session structure is flexible to accommodate feeding and soothing.
No art skill or specific preparation required.
This is creativity that honours mothering , real, tender, and life-filled.
Led by professional artist and mother of 2, Laura Gee.

Block of four sessions: £18 per session / £72
Single one off session: £22
Pay scale option: if the standard price would make it difficult to attend, you are welcome to choose the lower payment - we want to keep the class accessible, likewise if you feel you want to help another mother you can pay ‘pass it on’ please get in touch x

This block of 4 sessions invites mothers with babies (up to 12 months /pre-walking) to explore simple slow-craft materials, mindful-making and gentle motherhood-focused practices. Sessions are relaxed, supportive, and baby-friendly . A chance to create, connect, and recharge in the company of other mums.
Notes
Babies up to around 12 months welcome (before or around the time they start walking).
Stroller/wrap/carrier friendly; bring nappy bag, feeding items and anything your baby needs.
Limited places to keep the group calm and supportive.
